Before Joseph became the Prince of Egypt his reputation included: spoiled son, slave, accused rapist, and prisoner. But all along God knew his heart and character. Eventually, everyone who abused, berated, persecuted, and mistreated him had to bow before him, this included Potiphar and his lying wife.
From the pit, to Potiphar’s house, to the prison, then to palace. It was a long and difficult process. But he eventually made it to his dream and his destiny.
I want to encourage someone. If you are in the pit don’t give up. Maybe you are in Potiphar’s house, don’t give up. It’s amazing that God can be with you while you look like a complete loser to people. Remember in the end, your true value will be known to all. Don’t give up. God can still be with you, even when others betray, mistreat, and/or abuse you.
“Then he had Joseph ride in the chariot reserved for his second-in-command. And wherever Joseph went, the command was shouted, “Kneel down!” So Pharaoh put Joseph in charge of all Egypt.”
(Genesis 41:43 NLT)
